Soft Floor Casters and Hard Floor Casters look identical except the Hard Floor Casters have a rubberized coating on the wheels as well as a self-braking mechanism so they don't roll away from you on smooth surfaces. Caps(glides) are like little feet that make the stool stationary (no extra charge).
